I’m really excited about this stage of my writing journey, the stories I’m writing and the subjects I’m researching.

Might as well start off with a post with one of my writing crew—Ikamura the Emotional Support Squid. Ikamura emerged from some old t-shirts and needle felted suckers. It took about eight seasons of Stargate SG-1 playing in the background to finish him. He is about a meter long if all stretched out. He is also a lot of fun to draw. He likes to travel but finds taking a suitcase on the train difficult because people step on his arms.

I guess he functions as a focus talisman. I wonder what other kind of writing talismans people have. I don’t have a plushy Cawson yet. It’s next on the list.
