Lori Ravenford writes speculative fiction stories of love and monsters where the hidden world clashes with our concept of reality.
Based in Tokyo, Lori also does photography and illustration to explore her interest in nature in urban settings. Her preferred writing location would be at a scarred wooden table in a secret conservatory surrounded by leather bound books, herbs, specimen jars and her writing companions Cawson the Editing Raven, Ikamura the Squid and her dog Amelia.
Currently her writing location is a less glamorous bean bag, surrounded by notebooks, and plethora of pens on her Ikea trolley while Amelia lies next to her.
Lori is active on Instagram where she also posts the occasional stickman comic. She loves to connect with readers—especially mushroom, cephalopod, and corvid fans.
